Mr. Fein was most recently the Executive Vice President for the student housing division of AIMCO (NYSE Ticker: AIV), one of the largest apartment REITs in the United States. During his tenure, Mr. Fein oversaw the operations of a large multistate student housing portfolio. Mr. Fein was responsible for over $900M in student housing transactions. For a period of almost 15 years prior to his employment at AIMCO, Mr. Fein was engaged in the real estate business through various partnerships. Mr. Fein began his business career at Salomon Brothers in 1980 and departed in 1989 as a director. Mr. Fein holds a B.B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Ryder was CFO and Director of Acquisitions / Dispositions for the student housing division of AIMCO (NYSE Ticker: AIV). The division operated as a JV with California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) which acquired and operated a national portfolio of over 6,500 apartment units. Prior to AIMCO, Mr. Ryder worked for the private client group of Merrill Lynch in New York. Mr. Ryder holds a B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University and a M.B.A. from the University of Denver.

Mr. O’Connor joined University Communities in November of 2007. As Controller, Mr. O’Connor is responsible for the accounting and reporting for the real estate investments of University Communities. Mr. O’Connor brings over 25 years of real estate accounting and auditing experience; including 7 years audit and accounting services experience at Coopers & Lybrand and Kenneth Leventhal & Co. Mr. O’Connor’s public REIT accounting experience also includes 2 years with Archstone-Smith Trust as Director of Property Accounting, where he was responsible for the accounting and reporting for owned, joint-venture and fee-managed properties for the Company. Mr. O’Connor is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Mr. Hardie joined University Communities in July of 2007. As Director of Operations, Mr. Hardie is responsible for the acquisition of new assets and the operations of the existing portfolio. Mr. Hardie brings over 8 years of investment experience from his tenure at Madison Capital Group and Janus Capital Group. Mr. Hardie holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a M.S. in Real Estate from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business.
